Hi Kristin, We have a Senior Advisory Board at Ypsilanti District Library. They have been very vital in providing feedback on future programs and services for seniors. We meet on the third Thursday of every month. At the end of the year, we have an Appreciation Celebration for them and bring in food and good conversation. We do bring in speakers from our current and future partners on topics that interest them at the meetings. We now have a senior newsletter out of the hard work of the Senior Advisory Board. I have shared our newsletter from last month. Hello,
I'm looking for feedback from any libraries that have an Adult Advisory Board, similar to a Teen Advisory Board, consisting of volunteers that recommend programming, materials, etc. Do you specify an age range for the group? Do you have active volunteers and how often do you meet? Also what kind of activities do you do with them? Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Kristin -- Kristin Skinner (she/her/hers) Adult Services & Programming Specialist Flat River Community Library 200 W Judd St Greenville MI 48838 Phone: (616)754-6359 Email: kristin@flatriverlibrary.org
