Sylvia, I work at Ann Arbor District Library and we don't charge for computer/internet use - just printing. I don't know if Ypsilanti District Library charges for computer use, but they do charge non-card-holders to use their wi-fi. If you're not a card owner, it costs $2 for a guest pass. I used to study there when I was in school because studying at AADL was difficult as patrons would still ask me questions. Hi Sylvia, I don't think anyone charges for internet or computer use. The public pays for it through their tax dollars. And as for the staff time in monitoring this activity, I feel that what we invest in terms of staff and time, comes back to us in greater public support of the super service and access to technology we provide to everyone, young and old. Can you please tell me how much you charge (e.g. $5 for 60 minutes), and what your yearly revenue from those charges are on your budget. And, also what about the staff time involved in monitoring this activity: worth the investment of time? Thanks. Sylvia Merz, Director Leland Township Library 203 E. Cedar St., P.O.
