• Are Dogs the New Library Cat? At Red Land Community Library in Etters, Pennsylvania, parents can sign children up for a 15-minute slot to read to a golden retriever. The dogs work on Saturdays, sitting contentedly while children choose a book to read aloud. Karen Hostetter, Library Manager at Red Land Community Library says the therapy dogs become faithful friends to the children and staff, and the community response has been overwhelmingly positive.
