Hi everyone,

The day before the day before a holiday and why not have some fun?  Curious about how much you know about the varied MeL Databases? Here are some quick questions that can help refresh your knowledge about the great information MeL Databases offer.  Answers will be posted in the MeL Minute box at http://mel.org/   Good luck!

1.      Which Kids Gateway database pairs fiction and nonfiction titles in an interactive experience of viewing a recording of the book while it’s read aloud?  Hint:  it includes a rendition of this year’s Michigan Reads! title, Do Unto Otters.

2.      To successfully debate a topic or prepare an argumentative paper, students need to understand both sides of an issue.  Which Teens Gateway database can provide authoritative information to accomplish this task?

3.      Which Business Gateway databases can enable entrepreneurs and small business owners to assess their market potential, market share, competition, and sales leads?

4.      Content from full text, peer reviewed journals are required for a community college research paper assignment on global theologies.  Which MeL Database contains peer reviewed professional journals and reference publications, is updated daily, and offers millions of articles?

5.      Although material contained in this resource is not intended to replace your doctor, it can be helpful in informing yourself after an appointment or procedure and in fact, may be one that a professional office will refer you to.  Which MeL Health Gateway database is this?

So, did you get all of these correct?  Of course you did!  Enjoy MeL and the Fourth of July holiday.
