Library Program Organizers,

Are you looking for an Irish/Celtic band to perform at your library in 2020? Uneven Ground has an acoustic-style ideal for your library setting with past performances at the Loutit District Library, MADL Norton Shores Branch, MADL Walker Branch, MADL White Lake Branch, Saranac Public Library, Clarksville Public Library, Flat River Public Library, KDL Grandville Branch, and the Hackley Public Library.

Uneven Ground is a four-piece traditional Celtic band blending vocals with instrumentals to bring their listeners on a unique musical journey. By teaching the history of their music mixed with their nonsensical humor, each performance offers the listener an escape from the busyness of life.

Figuratively named after the Irish slip jig “On the Rocky Road to Dublin,” UG has become one of the most talked-about and exciting traditional/folk bands to emerge on the music scene today.

Rooted in Irish music, Uneven Ground has shared the stage with some of the top Irish bands including Kennedy’s Kitchen from South Bend, Indiana; One for the Foxes with members from Galway, Dublin, and Colorado; and Goitse, Ireland’s award-winning top traditional band of 2015.

UG’s festival performances include the Kalamazoo Irish Festival, Sparta Celtic Festival, and, the Mother of Them All - The Michigan Irish Music Festival. This past summer, UG was one of the featured bands for WGHN radio’s summer concert series in Grand Haven.

Uneven Ground is now a member of the Michigan Humanities Council Touring directory.  Visit http://www.michiganhumanities.org/touring-grants/ for more info.
