4-H Coding Weekend Workshop-An Intro to Coding: Saturday and Sunday April 10 & 11, and May 22 & 23, 2021- Registration DEADINE - Registration closes Wednesday, April 7th @ Midnight!

The 4-H Coding Weekend Workshop will help you discover your passion for technology and enable you to continue practicing throughout high school. This course includes 4-days (2 weekends) of virtual instruction to hone your coding skills. Whether you have prior computer coding knowledge, or have never even thought about it, you will gain valuable coding experience and skills. By the end of the workshop, you will learn to develop with your own tech ideas; design and code a website from scratch!  Specific coding languages taught during the program include HTML, CSS, JS, Ruby, Rails, and Github.

 

WHERE: Virtually via Zoom

WHO: Youth currently in grades 9-12.

COST: The cost to attend this four-day workshop (2 weekends) is $150 and includes tech support and program fees.

MATERIALS REQUIRED: Computer with internet and the ability to do video conferencing (microphone and webcam).

4-H Dance Party SPIN Club will begin on Monday, April 12th and end Friday, April 16th, registration closes on April 8th. This club will meet virtually every day from 4-5:15pm EST. Explore computer coding by programming your own Dance Party!  This is an introduction to computer coding.  Participants will need access to the internet to go to the coding site.  This 4-H SPIN Club is FREE and OPEN to 4-H and non-4-H members ages 8 to 14.  For more information and to register, please visit: https://events.anr.msu.edu/4HDancePartySPINClub/.

 

This 4-H SPIN Club will meet virtually via Zoom (both computer and smartphone accessible).
