For nearly 20 years, Campion and Monaghan taught Homer’s epic poem in the Advanced Placement English Literature program at Grosse Pointe South High School. This program will mirror their classroom approach, combining Campion’s expertise in Greek mythology and art with Monaghan’s background as a film historian and former Detroit Free Press film critic.
Monaghan will also examine Nolan’s filmmaking career—including The Dark Knight, Dunkirk, and Oppenheimer—and discuss how The Odyssey fits within the director’s body of work.
