Jonesville District Library policy says the Library Director makes the decision to close or delay. We notify the public through our website, Facebook and local radio station. If the director closes the library, staff are paid their regular wages. If a staff member chooses not to come in (with notice to the director), they would need to use PTO to be paid - otherwise, it is an unpaid absence. -Laura at JDL On Thu, Dec 4, 2025 at 4:34 PM Mulliken District Library via Michlib-l < michlib-l@liblists.org> wrote:
Our policy states that if the school district is closed, we close, however, we generally do not follow that since we open later in the day. It is totally at the discretion of the Director, and she notifies the Board President and staff scheduled.

Hi all,
What's your policy regarding closing, closing early, and/or delaying opening for weather during the winter? We're looking at updating our policy. Thanks!
