“Remembering Blaney Park With Oral Histories” will take place on Wednesday, October 11, at 7 p.m.

During balmy Michigan summers, travelers often stayed in the Upper Peninsula at Blaney Park, a modern resort that offered urban dwellers a chance to enjoy the great outdoors. Come hear how Jim Cameron and Northern Michigan’s Center for U.P. Studies use a collection of oral histories to preserve the rich history of the park.

If you enjoy “sniffing out” and exploring Michigan’s most fascinating historical facets, join us for our evening series of in-depth lectures.
