For those of you already using RFID, I’d love to hear about your experience with the "wand" side of things: The Big Questions: Do you use a wand? If so, which brand/model (e.g., Bibliotheca, D-Tech, FE Technologies)? What are the pros? Does it actually make annual inventory as fast as the brochures claim? Has it helped you find "lost" items or fixed shelf-order errors more effectively? What are the cons? Have you run into issues with battery life, heavy equipment, or "missed" tags on metal shelving or thick items? What I’ve heard so far: Based on some research (to be honest- just word of mouth), I’ve heard mixed reviews—some say it’s a game-changer for finding "claims returned" items, while others mention that tag placement can make or break accuracy. Right now I’m scanning every single item, and yet still having trouble with accuracy. And it sure does take a LOT of time. I want to make sure this is a "tool" and not just another piece of tech that ends up sitting in a drawer. Any "lessons learned" or advice you can share would be incredibly helpful!
