Minimum Qualifications
- Education and/or experience equivalent to an Associate’s degree and at least one year of library experience.
- At least three years of progressively responsible work experience.
- Ability to work productively with faculty during periods of high demand and pressure, typically at the start of each semester.
- Ability to supervise and direct the work of others.
- Effective organizational skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work in a team setting while also having the capability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to function in a technical on-line systems environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and project a positive image.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule which may include evenings and weekends.
- Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and Access.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Knowledge of an automated integrated library system.
- Understanding of the mission and the organization of the library.
- Basic knowledge of copyright.
