
There is still space available in Bay County Library System's upcoming educator workshop! Mastering Engagement through Storytelling for Educators will be presented by author and award-winning social education expert and Johns Hopkins University Literacy Consultant, Rae Chesny. This workshop will take place at Alice & Jack Wirt Public Library in Bay City this Saturday, November 19, from 1:30-3:30pm. Learn tips and tricks for engaging the most reluctant readers in literacy-based activities utilizing culturally relevant literature. This workshop will feature engaging and innovative methodologies for inclusive learning experiences, live demonstrations, and more. Educators, community organizations, and parents alike will learn how to adapt activities easily while maximizing their time and children's experience with literacy-based learning. Attendees will leave with an autographed copy of Rae Chesny's picture book, Zora's Garden, and supplemental resources to help them implement what they have learned in the classroom and homeschool settings.
