for Community Collaborations: Mental Health First Aid, an interactive workshop designed to help library professionals provide effective services to patrons affected by mental illness.

The workshop will be divided into two concurrent sessions, one designed for those who work primarily with adults, and one for those who
work specifically with youth. Participants will be provided with learning manuals, resources and referral information for patrons and families experiencing mental illness as well as a certificate of completion in Mental Health First Aid.
During the registration process you will be prompted to select adult or youth training.
Mental Health First Aid is a formal education program which introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental
illness. The training will give participants the skills to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health problem or experiencing a crisis.
