Job Summary: Creates, prepares, coordinates and executes library communications employing a variety of means including print, web, email, social media, blogs, digital/physical signage and visual displays to increase awareness of library resources and services. Coordinates programming and oversight of library events. Markets and promotes library resources and services to college constituents. Serves as the authority and central contact for library communications to ensure consistent messaging. Develops critical relationships with library stakeholders. Collaborates with library staff, academic & service departments, Media Services, Public Relations and Marketing. Conducts graphic design for creating library print, web and multimedia content. Conducts assessment creation, data collection and analysis for communications and marketing strategies. Assists with internal communications and events. Must show commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population and work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to community college philosophy. Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and demonstrated work experience. Prior work experience in communications, marketing, public relations or related field. Demonstrated experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator or other graphic design tools. Demonstrated experience with written and public speaking communication. Demonstrated experience with web building tools. Experience using social media channels in a professional setting. Preferred Qualifications: Significant, recent experience with standard design software programs such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Prior experience leading and delegating to a team. Prior project coordination experience. Demonstrated experience with HTML. Bi-lingual. Demonstrated experience in library operations.
