Our Friends no longer accept encyclopedias or Readers Digest Condensed Books. Our regular sorters do a quick check for smell and condition and these days a lot of stuff goes straight to recycling. We receive an almost unmanageable amount of donations, and I'm hoping to find a way to cut the tide, without simply refusing to take them. Do you impose limitations on the age, quality, or relevance of items? Quantity? If you have limitations, do you recommend other nearby places that may be interested in taking the donations instead?
