Lansing Community College is accepting applications for an Adjunct Reference and Instruction Librarian. This position provides in person and chat reference, teaches information literacy skills, participates in the selection of academic resources, serves as library liaison for academic programs, develops content for the library website, online tutorials and research guides and participates on library teams. This position reports to the Library Director. Starting date: January 2016.

Hours and Salary

· 28 hours per week with 1 evening and some weekends

· Starting salary: $20.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

· ALA accredited MLS degree

· 1 – 2 years professional reference experience

· Experience with mobile and web technologies, social networks, and digital resources

· Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence

· Demonstrated ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
