JOB ANNOUNCEMENT – SUBSTITUTE LIBRARIAN/ORIGINAL CATALOGER

POSITION:  The Southfield Public Library has a Support Services Substitute Librarian position available.  The primary responsibility is to provide original cataloging for new library materials as needed, some ILS support, and some reference service and readers’ advisory at Adult Services public services desks.

REQUIREMENT:     An A.L.A. accredited MLS degree, is required. Original cataloging experience or training is required. ILS experience preferred.

SCHEDULE:  Substitute librarians work a varied schedule. The schedule is flexible and posted several months in advance.

SALARY:      The starting salary is $15.00 per hour with no benefits. Annual salary increases up to $20.00/hour.
