I heard back from nine (9) libraries and all but one (1) recommended law enforcement: county sheriff’s department; Michigan State Police; local police or fire department personnel. At one library, the county emergency manager teamed up with the state police to make a presentation on active shooter/active assailant training.

The only named suggestion was Steve Keck, from the Coast Guard in Sault Ste. Marie.
