Job Posting - Part-time Instruction and Research Help Librarian

Oakland University Libraries seek a part-time librarian to provide information literacy instruction and research help services. Instruction-related duties include course-embedded instruction for WRT 1060, a first-year composition course. Research Help-related duties include offering research help to library patrons over chat, phone, and email, as well as providing one-on-one research consultations. Instruction and Research Help Librarians also work on relevant projects as assigned.

 

Hours: 15-25 hours per week (currently remote; some in-person hours in fall 2021)

Salary: $22.50 per hour

Start date: As soon as possible

 

The job candidate must have an ALA-accredited MLS and strong orientation towards instruction and research help services. Teaching and research help experience, particularly in an academic library, is preferred.
