The Library was awarded the “Community Builder Award” in 2021 from the Novi Chamber of Commerce for its innovative approach to reaching its community by introducing the first self-service kiosk in Michigan, called Lakeshore Lending Library. We proudly serve a diverse community with a population of 65,000+. As a proud organization within the Novi community, we are committed to serving our guests with exceptional customer service through innovative programming, cutting-edge technology in our iCube Makerspace, and expertly trained staff. In order to meet the needs of our diverse population, we have increased staff awareness and education of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives through organization-wide training; created NPL @ Your Door, a mail delivery service, to meet the needs of community members who may have less access to the building; and advanced our ongoing commitment to “Inspire, Inform and Include” all individuals who walk through our doors. Join our team!* 1. Provides readers’ advisory and reference services, and provides computer assistance using a variety of collections, materials and formats. 2. Participates in collection development and maintenance specifically for the Library’s adult fiction collections, keeps within monetary and physical space constraints; has knowledge of youth, teen and adult literature. 3. Plans, promotes and implements programming services appropriate to the needs of the community, including multiple book club initiatives both virtually and in-person for a variety of library users; coordinates and executes author events. 4. Oversees the NPL @ Your Door mail service; works closely with Support Services and Information Services staff members to insure proper materials are chosen and circulated in a timely manner to meet library guest needs. 5. Engages in outreach opportunities within the community. *Hours: *40 hours per week including evenings and weekends *Salary*: $45,555 - $59,222 *Benefits:* Benefits are offered with this position (sick, vacation, personal business, paid holidays, 457 defined contribution retirement and health insurance coverage).
