Non-members, $7. “Path to Freedom: Cass County and the Underground Railroad” will take place on Wednesday, September 12, at 7 p.m. Cass County played a key role in the Underground Railroad, as did Quakers James Bonine and Stephen Bogue, who were members of an anti-slavery network. Come hear how they and other like-minded abolitionists sheltered freedom-seekers bound for Canada and helped establish a thriving community of free African Americans in the county.
