Apologies for cross-posting!

Join the Michigan Digital Preservation Network on March 12 from 11:30am-noon for a short, fun virtual Ribbon Cutting livestreamed simultaneously from all five of our preservation servers across the state to celebrate the launch of the MDPN to accepting digital materials from members for preservation. The MDPN relies on our server host partners to provide resilient digital preservation services that are distributed across a broad geographical area to mitigate risks from natural disasters, electrical outages, ransomware, and other threats to digital content.

We’ll also be joined virtually by representatives from MCLS, Library of Michigan, and the LOCKSS Program, who will say a few words about what this project means to Michigan libraries and the broader international digital preservation community.

The event is open to anyone. You do not have to be an MDPN member to attend. Please register in advance for this event via Zoom. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining.

We hope you’ll join us on Macrh 12!
