Hello everyone,

The webinar, Civil Legal Justice: The Crucial Role of Libraries, will take place this afternoon, Tuesday, February 11 from 3:00 pm to 4 pm. Join us in watching it at the Library of Michigan or register to view it online at https://www.webjunction.org/events/webjunction/civil-legal-justice-the-crucial-role-of-libraries.html.

The webinar ties into the Improving Access to Civil Legal Justice through Public Libraries Project, a grant-funded training initiative that will strengthen library staff’s knowledge and ability to help identify when there is a civil legal issue at play and to direct library users to relevant, helpful information to narrow the justice gap in their communities.

To learn more about Michigan’s own access to civil justice initiatives, and how your library can become part of the discussion through town hall meetings and other events, please see the Justice for All Task Force website. A copy of the Michigan Justice for All Task Force Newsletter may be found here: https://courts.michigan.gov/News-Events/Documents/JFANewsletter_Issue1_Feb2020_FINAL.pdf.
