This position reports to the Court Librarian and helps to maintain the collection of law books located in the Lansing Hall of Justice. Duties include shelving books, inserting pocket parts, and updating library binders. The Assistant will be working 20 to 30 hours per week, for a duration of 4 to 5 months. This temporary position pays $10.00 per hour. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school level coursework or skills acquired through vocational or applied skills courses, basic computer skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Word and Outlook email. The Assistant must be able to follow instructions, work quickly, accurately, and independently, as well as, work cooperatively with other employees, judges, and judicial staff. The physical requirements for the job include lifting and transporting materials, files, and books weighing up to 45 pounds.
