We are getting a number of requests from community members wanting to partner with my libraries to give community presentations regarding naturopathic medicine.  I’m all for learning more about making healthy choices, however, this makes me feel a little uncomfortable.  We have partnered with our local hospital on these types of community presentations, but since it is the hospital, I don’t have the same concerns.

I’m curious if other libraries have also been approached by natural medicine people?  If you did partner with them do you require some type of legal disclaimer? (Liking checking with your doctor before making medical decisions)?  I’m feeling like this is not something I want to get involved in but I’m curious to hear from others who have faced this same issue.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Sheila
