Hello out there in library land!

We are researching carpet for our lobby and are considering walk-off carpet tiles. We have problems in the winter, though, with salt coming off everyone's shoes and are concerned that it would just build up in the nap. 

Have any of you had experience with them, good or bad? Thanks!
