Early Opening Transportation

 

	Dear Guest,   We are writing to inform you that the ice conditions in the Straits of Mackinac have improved and limited ferry service to Mackinac Island will be available on your arrival date. Service from St. Ignace to Mackinac Island will begin Tuesday, April 29th with our ferry partner, Shepler's Ferry. Before your arrival please check with them for passenger schedules by going to their website or Facebook page. Departure times vary by day and are on a first come, first serve basis.    Alternative air transportation can be arranged with  Great Lakes Air flying from St. Ignace to Mackinac Island. Information regarding flights and rates can be found on their website or by calling (906)643-7165.   Grand Hotel will have staff at both airport  and ferry locations to assist with your arrival and departure. Taxi transportation will be available from the Mackinac Island Airport.   We look forward to seeing you at America's Summer Place. We hope you enjoy your stay.   Thank you,
