The Michigan Association of Computer Users, Michigan Association of School Librarians, Michigan Department of Education, Michigan Virtual, and Regional Educational Media Center Association of Michigan are helping create statewide learning opportunities to support educators as they respond to the fast-changing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in teaching and learning while also advancing media literacy instruction. This opportunity empowers Michigan leaders with the knowledge, tools, and support to lead responsible AI and media literacy instruction in Michigan. What: AI & Media Literacy Leadership Collaborative
Description: A comprehensive experience designed to turn educational leaders into internal experts. Using a "Train-the-Trainer" approach, this professional learning empowers you to lead AI and media literacy initiatives within your own building or district. Through a two-day in-person workshop followed by virtual personalized coaching, you will gain the skills and resources to drive meaningful change in your local school.
Target Audience: Leaders in both formal roles (e.g., principals, instructional coaches, RITS (REMC Instructional Technology Specialists) Members and informal roles (e.g., lead educators).
Cost: FREE. Participants who fully participate in the experience will receive a $100 stipend.
Locations: Choose one of 12 locations across the state for the two-day in-person workshop (12 locations are listed in the newsletter linked to below). Each location is limited to 40 participants.
