Seconded. The Phoenix guys were great with my young teens 12-14), and had a knack for explaining and teaching. They were also stellar with some of my neurodiverse kids. On Wed, Jul 24, 2024 at 12:35 PM Emily Peoples via Michlib-l < michlib-l@mcls.org> wrote:
Hi all, We had Eric and Jesse(?) from Phoenix Freerunning Academy here last Thursday to do a Parkour workshop for our kids. They were fantastic, and the kids had a blast! It was a 1.5 hour program with a short demonstration and safety discussion, followed by over an hour of hands-on teaching and practice for the kids. We had about 40 kids ages 5+, and the guys were great with them. They kept the crowd moving around to different stations, and tailored their instruction to each kid's abilities. They're based in Livonia, and this is their site: https://phoenixfreerunning.com/. -- Emily Peoples Children's Librarian Romeo District Library emilyp@romeodistrictlibrary.org
