Hello all,
I read an article recently that indicated the time to start preparing for
college is now! It went on to state that by the time students are in 6th grade they can start looking at the PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary
SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) and begin working on skill review and building.
Fortunately, MeL.org databases include
LearningExpress which offers learning centers geared for students headed to or already enrolled in college.
The School Center offers resources at three levels: Elementary (grades 4 -5), Middle (grades 6-8), and High School.
Mathematics, English Language Arts, and Social Studies are covered with practice tests, tutorials, and ebooks.
The College Preparation Center covers the ACT® and SAT tests as well as AP exams in Calculus, Chemistry, and European History (among others), and How to Write a College Admissions Essay.
The College Center is designed to enable students to strengthen skills in Math, Reading, Grammar and Writing, and Science as they progress through their education and build on what they learned in high school.
Add MeL.org and
LearningExpress to your students’ education resources toolkit and they won’t be disappointed.
