Libraries are trusted community spaces that foster connection, learning, and inclusion. As the number of individuals living with dementia continues to grow, libraries have a unique opportunity to support people living with dementia and their care partners through person-centered programs, accessible resources, and welcoming environments. This session will explore practical strategies for creating dementia-capable library services that promote dignity, independence, social engagement, and quality of life. Participants will learn about Alzheimer's Association resources that support people living with dementia and their care partners, while also exploring how libraries can serve as trusted community hubs for brain health education, healthy aging, and dementia-friendly engagement.
