Hello all,
Now that summer is winding down, you know what happens next – school!
School means homework, homework means term papers, term papers mean research resources, and research resources mean
MeL.org.
The Teens Gateway Homework Help section offers databases as well as select internet sites
in four areas: English, Math, Science, and Social Studies/History.
Whether it’s
Michigana: Sources in U.S. History Online,
Research in Context, or
InfoTrac Student Edition students will find reliable and accurate information and data for their research and learning.
The MeL Kids Gateway also offers
Homework Helpers for young learners who are just beginning their research efforts.
Kids InfoBits,
World Book Kids, and
NoveList K 8 Plus
are all designed with elementary students in mind with age appropriate content and subjects.
Students might not be ready for school to start again, but with MeL’s help you can be.
Michigan residents or Michigan library access only.
MeL Minutes are brought to you by the Library of Michigan. Want more information on MeL? Stay tuned for next week’s MeL Minute available
on many Michigan library listservs, email us at
contact@mel.org or visit
mel.org. We encourage you to share MeL Minutes with your public service colleagues.
