[Michlib-l] Yearbook digitization

Hello All, I am seeking information about copyright compliance on historic copies of local public school yearbooks. If anyone out there in library land has had their local yearbook collection digitized and hosted to a cloud so it is accessible from the library website can you tell me how you obtained permission and how did you figure out who to obtain permission from.
