Hey all, We had a very successful "Make Your Own Salves and Balms" program here at YDL too, over on the east side of the state. The person who did it, Heather Wysor, of Magic Wysor Balms (she sells them at our local food coop and at our farmers' market), makes soaps too, but I think that's more involved than she'd want to do for a library program. It's so cool to see library patrons in Michigan interested in learning about how to make their own household items! If you want any info about Heather Wysor of Magic Wysor balms, just send me an email. :) Benjamin Miller From: michlib-l-bounces@mcls.org [mailto:michlib-l-bounces@mcls.org] On Behalf Of natalie bazan Sent: Tuesday, January 06, 2015 4:12 PM To: Michlib-L Subject: [Michlib-l] Program recommendation I've had several wildly successful soap, lotion and lip balm classes in both Hopkins and Dorr and I asked her if she would like to work with other libraries. If you are thinking about a bath and body class or just soap, give Rachel Sadowski a call. She's working in the Hopkins area right now but is willing to travel and often goes to the east side of the state to visit family. She has a company called Dancing Crane Soap & Sundries on facebook. She provides all the supplies and instruction. You have to provide boxes and newspaper to wrap the soap in so that it cools down slowly.
