Mott Community College is looking for an innovative and collaborative Electronic Resources Librarian. This newly designed position will manage all of our electronic resources, from ebooks to databases. The position will also work on collaborative projects both in the library and with other departments on campus to provide superior services for our students, faculty and staff. From the position description: "The Electronic Resources Librarian provides expertise and direction relating to the acquisition, management, and discovery of electronic resources. This position is responsible for keeping abreast of emerging trends in content delivery and pricing models. This position works closely with other librarians on collection development for electronic books and serials to ensure a collection that meets the needs of the curriculum at the college. This position works closely with the Acquisitions Librarian to provide timely payment for all electronic books and serials. The Electronic Resources Librarian provides recommendations to the Library Director in the acquisition of new database subscriptions and assists in price negotiations with vendors. This position maintains statistics on the use of electronic resources and provides acquisitions reports on a regularly scheduled basis. Additionally, the Electronic Resource Librarian may be asked to serve on internal library committees or work groups, college committees, and statewide work groups and committees."
