POSITION: Assistant Department Manager, Librarian III – Full Time (35 hours per week) Includes evening and weekend hours (Saturday/Sunday) QUALIFICATIONS: MLS or equivalent from an ALA accredited library school; at least three years youth services experience in a public library setting; strong interpersonal/communication skills; demonstrated competency with information technology including digital resources, electronic resources, online catalogs, the Internet, social media sites, mobile devices; demonstrated ability to implement projects, programs and/or services; commitment to public service; experienced in programming for children; regularly reads youth literature and monitors mainstream and professional media. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
