Don’t forget to register for the upcoming Risk Management and Disaster Recovery Programs brought to you by MCLS, the Cooperative Directors Association and the Library of Michigan.
The workshop will be taught over two days, September 10 and November 8, 2013. Both days will be held at Delta Township District Library in Lansing from 9:00am to 3:30pm.
On September 10 attendees will learn practical hands-on techniques in disaster management with internationally recognized expert Jeanne Drewes. Attendees will tour a library to identify strengths, weaknesses and opportunities to better prepare against disaster. The first day will conclude with an informational session on developing a disaster plan.
On November 8 attendees will discuss, ask questions and finalize their own disaster plans. The issue of property insurance will also be addressed.
The cost for the workshop is $120 and this covers both Sept 8 and Nov 10 as well as breakfast and lunch each day. For more details and to register visit the Midwest Collaborative for Library Services website.
