Description automatically generatedThis fall has brought a few changes to some of the MeL eResources and today’s MeL Minute has all the updates for you!

Gale Name Changes

Back in the summer, Gale updated some of their resources, which included branding. Rounding out these changes are the names to two of the Gale eResources that we subscribe to.

The A to Z listing on MeL.org’s eResources page has been updated and these two eResources can now be found under the letter “G”.

Britannica Fundamentals

Britannica has released a totally new experience for their LearningZone product, along with a new name. Britannica LearningZone is now called Britannica Fundamentals. To support the use of this eResource, Britannica has also released a Teacher Guide for Britannica Fundamentals. In it you will find an introduction to the new layout which includes 4 areas: Play, Read, Explore and Create.

But don’t let the name fool you! While the Teacher Guide does have a lot of rich material to help connect content with curriculum standards, public library staff will find the material helpful for developing storytimes and other programming activities for young learners.
