
Hi Collective Brain, I am seeking feedback on how other libraries track or document recurring problematic or troublesome behavior staff experience from patrons. The goal of the documentation would be to provide clear/open communication for staff regarding ongoing situations involving problematic behavior so staff actions remain consistent with library policy despite a patron interacting with varying staff members. If documentation is being kept on a patron's behavior, how do you maintain this documentation so it is not in violation of privacy? Or, if your library does not keep documentation, do you have other practices/procedures in place staff are trained to follow? Thank you for your feedback!
