Just a reminder that the call for volunteers for a Collaborative Summer Library Program committee closes this Friday (10/8). This is a great chance to begin networking on the national level while supporting the planning for summer learning. Most committee positions run for 1 calendar year, working on future program themes.
I’m happy to say that quite a number of volunteers have been stepping up from Michigan these past years, with a few having been awarded Chair positions on various committees! Congratulations to them for helping lead the way in summer learning:

I’ll add that I was just voted in as President-Elect for the Board of Directors at CSLP, with my term beginning in 2022. An exciting time for Michigan to be a part of this national organization!

Consider joining a CSLP committee! Sign-ups for 2022 are open until October 8th. While the duties vary, committee obligations generally run for one calendar year. All committee work is done virtually; either through email, or through phone/online meetings. For more information, please visit: https://www.cslpreads.org/join-a-cslp-committee/.

To learn more about each committee, be sure to check out the recordings from the 2020 Committee Fair: https://www.cslpreads.org/2020-committee-fair/.  I’m always so proud to see so many volunteers out of Michigan each year, supporting the good works of the Collaborative Summer Library Program.
