Maybe the Disc World Series by Terry Pratchett. I think those could work because there are so many of them, generally light hearted and amusing.

Hello beautiful hive mind,

Our patron asked for recommendations for her 16 year old grandson and I could use some help putting together a more extensive list for her.
  • He was abused as a young child and can become triggered by relationships
  • He enjoys SF/Fantasy
  • Has a special interest in Norse mythology
  • Is transgender
I appreciate any ideas that you have. Thank you so much!
