The Board of Trustees of the Crawford County (MI) Library is inviting applications for the position of Director.  The Crawford County Library includes the main library in Grayling and a branch in Frederic.  The library system serves a population of nearly 14,000, with a budget of just over $515,000 and a staff of fifteen (15).  The Library system enjoys strong community support and prides itself on providing excellent customer service through its friendly staff.

Crawford County is located in north-central Michigan’s Lower Peninsula.  Much of the county’s land area is in the AuSable State and Huron Manistee National Forests. Reflecting the area’s emphasis on the out-of-doors, the Library’s collections include one devoted to fly-fishing. The area is an outdoor enthusiast’s delight every season of the year and the kind of place people love to visit – and love to call home, while the location on I-75 allows for ease of travel.

Beginning Salary: $35,500 for candidates with a bachelor’s degree and $52,000 with the MILS degree dependent on experience; benefit package includes health, vision and dental insurance, and a deferred compensation plan.
