Good afternoon, the following state parks are plowing loops in their park or campgrounds this winter.  The parks want to partner with local libraries and co-promote weekly walking groups at the parks.  For example, a Friday “Mommy & Me” walk at the park, followed by hot cocoa and story time at the library.  Or a Winter Walkers/Silver Sneakers group who could walk at the park, then warm up with good book discussion at the library.  For those places with a lot of snow, there are snowshoes that could be used for a Snowshoe 101 program. Please contact Maia Turek, DNR Recreation Programmer at turekm@michigan.gov or 989-225-8573 to participate.
