The Vicksburg District Library is looking to fill the position of Head of Circulation/Reference due to the resignation of our current employee.  

Head of Circulation/Reference

 

The Vicksburg District Library is looking for a candidate to fill the position as Head of Circulation and Reference Librarian.  This is a permanent, part-time position (30 hrs/wk).  Must have MLS from an accredited school.  Experience preferred but new graduates are welcome.

Duties :

·         Direct the circulation staff

·         Oversee the operations and management of circulation system (Verso)

·         Order adult fiction materials, DVD’s, Audiobooks, Video Games, Large Print

·         Moderate monthly book discussion group

·         Interact with patrons

·         Publicity- Slides, South County News stories, creating marketing materials and displays

·         Page and circulation staff training and supervision

·         Webmaster- manage website

·         Computer classes/aid patron in use of computers and tablets

·         Other duties as assigned

Starting pay: $18-$20/hr

Benefits include :

·         Two week paid vacation after one year

·         One  sick day for each month worked

·         Birthday paid day off after one year.
