Summer Reading: Mysteries Await at Your Library!tm
It's that time of the year! CSLP's Programming Manual &
Store
are set to launch mid-week next week! I will email all library directors through LM's LibPass System (same way directors get state aid information) to share the manual code. I ask directors to share that code with library staff, but I also have a
manual code request form going if you'd like a direct email from me. You must use your official work email. On the MiYouth call this Tuesday I'll give you all a sneak peek at the amazing original artwork by Laurie Conley.
Save the date! Thursday, December 3rd is the annual virtual CSLP Summer Symposium! LM will also be hosting a Connect & Collaborate in-person workshop to view and network together. Details coming soon...

Public library staff that work with youth are invited to join LM’s Youth Services Advisory Council (YSAC) for networking and discussion. In October we'll have special guest Kristin Fontichiaro from UM's School of Information. We'll also discuss what parents
and families need to know about A.I. Cathy will also be sharing a sneak peek of the 2027 CSLP Artwork. Come prepared to share, network, and explore!
MiYouth meets quarterly (months vary) on the 2nd Tuesday at 2pm. Looking forward to seeing you this afternoon if you can make it.
No need to register, just join us at 2pm ET! (This meeting is not recorded, but shared notes will be sent out)

Building Community-Based Summers (new, in-person opportunity)
We've had virtual cohorts galore, so now is a time to try in-person! These Tri-state In-Person Workshops are for all public library staff that work on summer reading (not just youth services) and are ready to take the "next step"
in summer reading. Message Cathy for further details or see past emails she's shared out! Watch this
Overview
Video of BCBS before registering.
Wishing folks a good one,
