Hi all, This is an incredibly popular service that has seen steady growth in our community over more than a decade. It will become unsustainable without adjustments, so we are managing it carefully. In 2026, we will likely reduce the borrowing limit and may bring back price caps (2.99 for all content except Binge Passes), which we had used previously. Our hoopla rep has been helpful in identifying the ROI on each measure, so we can make informed choices. Our aim is some reductions for "super users" while continuing to serve the broader audience and avoiding sending too much traffic to Libby in a way that creates massive waitlists or similar costs to keep up with demand. Dear Librarians,
Are any of you discontinuing Hoopla due to unsustainable costs per month? We seem to be experiencing large increases.
