The Library of Michigan celebrates its 195th anniversary today and 195 years of serving Michigan since June 16, 1828.  Early on the library was housed in the territorial capitol of Detroit before moving to Lansing and its current home at the Michigan Library and Historical Center. The Library of Michigan houses an expansive special collection in addition to the Martha Griffith Rare Book Room. Learn more about the Library of Michigan here.
