We generally follow the guidelines that are developmentally appropriate for the participant-- something you can arrange with the caregiver and explain to staff. We have had to limit some coupons for prizes that are age-restricted (under 18) etc. and substitute.

Good morning:

This summer I have two adults participating in the summer reading program that are developmentally disabled.  Both read at a first grade level.  Our adult program is set up to record chapters. Our kids programs are set up to record books read.  How have you handled this in the past?

Thanks,

Amy Knepp, Director
Oscoda County District Library
