The Library of Michigan is launching a new program to support libraries' efforts to provide quality services and programming in their communities. A major element of excellent service is empowering library staff to learn and implement new skills and best practices. The new Librarian Continuing Education program helps by providing financial support for library staff continuing education. Michigan public, academic and school library staff are eligible to apply for continuing education stipends. The program details and criteria are at www.michigan.gov/libraryce<http://www.michigan.gov/libraryce> in the Library Continuing Education section. You will find a criteria, timeline and application link there. Staff from eligible libraries may apply at any time and may request from $200 to $1,500. Requests will be reviewed each quarter as listed in the program criteria and timeline. The first review of applications will be the beginning of this October and quarterly thereafter. The application is available now. Please take a look at the program information on the web site and contact me with any questions. Thank you.
