The Herrick District Library is seeking a forward-thinking and detail-oriented Librarian
to manage the Collection & Digital Resources department (CDR). The CDR Manager collaboratively oversees development of the library’s collections,
both physical and digital, and manages a team of selection, cataloging, and processing specialists.
This full-time position requires a master's degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution
and five years of experience in a public library as a professional librarian.
Previous management experience is desired.
Weekly schedule: 40 hours per week, generally 9:00am-6:00pm on Monday-Friday, and the occasional Sunday 1:00pm-6:00pm, hours may vary and there is some flexibility.

Position Summary:
Manages the Collection & Digital Resources department (CDR). The CDR Manager collaboratively oversees development of the library’s collections, both physical and digital,
and manages a team of selection, cataloging, and processing specialists.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication, organizational and problem-solving skills and demonstrate a deep understanding of collection development
and technical services functions and systems, including ILS.
Essential Functions:

Occasionally requires lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying objects weighing up to
50 pounds

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in library science is required
